The static pressure box, also known as the pressure chamber, is a large space box connected to the air outlet. It is often used in air conditioning systems that have precise requirements of indoor temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and uniformity of airflow distribution, such as constant temperature, constant humidity, clean rooms as well as environmental-climate rooms.
The function of the static pressure box:
1. Part of the dynamic pressure can be changed into static pressure to make the wind blow farther;
2. It is lined with sound-absorbing material, which can reduce noise (the sound-absorbing capacity is 10-20dB(A);
3. The air volume is evenly distributed;
4. In the actual ventilation system and air-conditioning system, it is often encountered the condition that the ventilation pipes change from square into round or round into square, diameter changes, right-angle becomes bend, multi-pipe intersection, etc. All of these need specific pipe fitting to connect, but the production of these specific pipe fittings is time-consuming and material-consuming, and the installation is inconvenient. At this time, the static pressure box is used as a pipe fitting to connect them, which can greatly simplify the system, so that the static pressure box can play the role of a universal joint.
